Your account
Edit your profile, change how White Rabbit looks, sign out, or delete your account.
Edit your profile#
Go to your profile and select Edit profile. You can change your name, your bio, and what you're Currently curious about. Your profile, your public rabbit holes, and your Curiosity Graph can be seen by anyone on White Rabbit.
Badges#
Badges show on your profile under your stats. Select them to see what each means and since when. On your own profile you also see what's next, like 7 of 10 rabbit holes.
- Founder: one of the first 1,000 people to finish setting up White Rabbit, with a number of your own.
- Rabbit hole of the day: one of your rabbit holes was picked, and how many days (see Rabbit hole of the day).
- Maker: the public rabbit holes you started (1, 10, 50, 100).
- Loved: likes from other people on your rabbit holes (10, 100, 1,000).
- Continued: rabbit holes other people started from yours, or took deeper from one you passed on (1, 10, 50). A private fork never counts.
- Shared: times other people shared your rabbit holes, each person once per rabbit hole (10, 100).
- Streak: days in a row you opened White Rabbit, by your own date (7, 30, 100, 365). Your current streak is only shown to you.
- Together: other people's rabbit holes you added pages to (1, 10).
- Brought friends: people who joined from your link and chose to follow you (1, 5, 25).
Badges stay once you've earned them, except that a day of Rabbit hole of the day stops counting while that rabbit hole is hidden. You'll find a new one in your notifications. Anyone who can see your profile can see your badges. To hide one, open your badges and choose Hide from profile. You still see it there.
Appearance#
Choose System, Light, or Dark from the menu under your profile picture, or in Settings under Appearance. System follows your device.
Password and sign-in#
- To change your password, go to Settings → Account → Change password, enter your current password and a new one (at least 8 characters), and save.
- Forgot it? Choose Email me a reset link there, or reset it from the Log in page. Either way we'll email you a link.
- If you signed up with Google, Apple, or GitHub, you sign in with that account. You can also add a password under Set a password.
- Signing up that way, or with a 6-digit email code, gives you a username we made for you: from your email, or one like reader_482913. You choose your own as you finish signing up, or once later in Settings → Account → Choose your username. After that it's yours for good.
- A code from outside Sign up, like the one for the daily email, signs you straight in without that step: add your name with Edit profile, and choose your username in Settings.
Sign out#
Open the menu under your profile picture and select Log out, or go to Settings → Account.
Delete your account#
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Select Delete account, and confirm.
This can't be undone
Your profile, rabbit holes, comments, messages, captures, and the pictures and files you uploaded are deleted. Copies may remain in backups for a short time before they're overwritten. Forks other people made of your public rabbit holes stay theirs.
If you're on Plus, deleting your account cancels it right away, and the rest of the month you've paid for isn't refunded.
If your account is suspended, deleting it doesn't end the suspension, and the confirmation says so. A new account with the same email address, or the same Google, Apple, or GitHub sign-in, stays suspended until the date it would have ended. See If your account is suspended.
The browser extension keeps its own record in your browser, and White Rabbit Helper keeps a little on your Mac. Uninstall them to remove that too (see The browser extension).
