How I got here
- Started with
- What does rapid trigger actually do?
- Ended at
- “rapid trigger counter strafe”
The Trail
- “hall effect keyboard rapid trigger explained” (google.com)
- Hall-effect sensor (en.wikipedia.org)
- Keyboard technology (en.wikipedia.org)
- “rapid trigger worth it” (reddit.com)
- “rapid trigger counter strafe” (reddit.com)
What I came away with
A magnet in each switch lets the keyboard measure exactly how far a key is pressed, so a key can reset the instant it starts moving up instead of at a fixed point. In games where you stop by releasing a key, it's a real advantage.
