Copyright & DMCA Policy
How to report copyright infringement, how to respond to a report, and how we handle both.
Contents
1.Respecting intellectual property#
White Rabbit Entertainment respects the intellectual property of others and expects the people who use White Rabbit to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512 (the "DMCA"), and to counter-notices. This policy is part of our Terms of Use.
2.Links and sources#
A rabbit hole's Trail links to pages on other websites and shows short previews of them: a title, a brief description, an image, and the site's icon. White Rabbit doesn't host those pages; they stay on the websites that publish them. If your concern is about the page itself, contact the website that hosts it. If it's about a preview, a note, an attachment, or other content on White Rabbit, send us a notice as described below.
3.Filing a copyright notice#
If you believe content on White Rabbit infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to act for, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:
- a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed or, for multiple works, a representative list;
- identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough information for us to locate it, such as the link to the rabbit hole or comment;
- your contact information: name, postal address, telephone number, and email address;
- a statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Notices that don't include these elements may not be valid. We may share a copy of your notice, including your name and contact information, with the person who posted the material.
4.Designated agent#
Send copyright notices and counter-notices to:
Copyright Agent
White Rabbit Entertainment, Attn: Copyright Agent, California, United States. Email: contact.whiterabbt.com@gmail.com, with "DMCA Notice" or "DMCA Counter-Notice" in the subject line.
This address is only for copyright matters. Other messages sent to it with that subject line may not get a response.
5.Counter-notices#
If we removed or disabled your content because of a notice and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can send our designated agent a counter-notice that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and where it appeared before;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address, and telephone number; and
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is (or, if you're outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you'll accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.
When we receive a valid counter-notice, we'll send a copy to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us that they've filed a court action to stop the infringement, we'll restore the material within 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.
6.Repeat infringers#
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright. We may also limit access to the Service or remove content without terminating an account.
7.Misrepresentations#
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. If you aren't sure whether content infringes your rights, consider consulting a lawyer before sending a notice.
8.Trademarks#
If you believe an account or content on White Rabbit infringes your trademark, for example by impersonating your brand, email contact.whiterabbt.com@gmail.com with your name and contact information, the trademark and where it's registered, the content or account involved, and how it's being misused.
